Interested in yoga, but don't know where to start? Yoga Basics is the place!
In six classes, explore approximately 30 foundation poses (asanas), practice five breath patterns (pranayamas) and experience basic meditation. Gain awareness of your breath and body, learning how to move more efficiently, safely, easily and happily.

This series will give you "the basics" so that you're comfortable stepping into other yoga classes, working with yoga videos at home, and, yes, even practicing yoga on your own!
Yoga Basics is also an excellent refresher for anyone just returning to his or her yoga practice. (Welcome back to your mat!)
Classes are progressive, with each week building on the asana (poses) and pranayama (breathwork) of the week before. By completion of the series, students will have experience with backbends, forward bends, twists, balance poses and basic inversions, as well as several breathing patterns and simple meditation.
Yoga Basics may be repeated, or you may attend other yoga classes after the series.
Handouts are included. Questions are welcomed. Begin your yoga journey and discover what yoga has to offer you....
